Hi everyone,
well to keep you informed we would like to introduce you to some news about Japthi. First, we guess all children are in a "good" condition. I just can say that i saw a lot of improvements since my start in february... There are not only new facilities that make things easier also some children show a progress in their mental abilities. For example Nirmala is now used to attend physical at all group activities like eating or outdoor games for her own... Since the the last blog update we bought some pillows as well as carpets to create a more comfortable area for Yoga and teaching lessons. We also bought music instruments (drum, rattle, flute) which we usually use after singing the famous songs :) Actually i think our the daily tasks and routines haven't really changed since the beginning of the Japthi project...? Furthermore, with the help of FSL, Kundapur Rotary Club South and one established german fund both toilets are now tiled. Thanks to all donators! It's more hygienic and easier to clean (although Sanath still didn't use it and i am sorry to say that it's really hard to prevent him eating dog food).
The present volunteers would like to concrete the shower place, repair the roof, build a kind of playground house in front of the school and using more often signs to reflect activities. So, you might see that a lot of things have to be done. Nevertheless, we would like to thank all past volunteers who made the current situation possible. Step by step it's getting better....
